Preparation

  • Directions:
    1. Marinate chicken, beef or mutton (600 g) with 1/2 packet of Padang Rendang Paste for 1/2 hour
    2. Put the balance of Padang Rendang paste, water (200 ml), coconut milk (150 ml), lemongrass (1 stalk), and kaffir lime leaves (3 pieces) in a pot and bring it to boil
    3. Add in meat and simmer until meat is tender and the sauce thickens
    4. Add in more water if cook with beef or mutton
    5. Serve with rice
  • Tips: Add in 2 salam leaves to enhance the flavour
